Guinevere

There is an interesting story behind this piece...this is the very first piece I created with the natural brass and I went through three different design layouts, literally creating it and taking it apart! Needless to say I was wondering what in the world was going on! Finally, on the third design layout, the energies came together and I knew I had arrived at the final design. What an adventure!

As I thought about the significance of the number three and sensing the protective and feminine energies of this piece, my thoughts drifted to the goddess Gwenhyfar, an ancient triple goddess from the welsh pantheon. Many people know her also as Guinevere from the Arthurian legends. Guinevere means "white waves". White representing the virgin and as Esther Harding refers to the "virgin" as "One-in-Herself", a woman or goddess who is complete in and of herself. Waves associate Guinevere with the regenerative power of the sea.

Each new piece in this collection will be named after a goddess, inspired by the specific energies and that of the gemstones!
