Seeds of Wisdom

I'm a big fan of wisdom. I read a lot, so I have opportunity to acquaint myself with many of the great thinkers of our time and times past. Some ideas are so big I can't get my mind around them, while other thoughts are like cotton candy; sweet and short and gone before you know it.

In thinking about wisdom, I realize that it seems to spring from a twin source, this being the combination of objectivity and common sense. Wisdom is not ego-oriented or stuck in one point of view. True wisdom is true for everyone, not a chosen few, and it makes sense . Words of wisdom worth their salt open our eyes with their simplicity. When we hear them, our initial response is invariably "Oh yeah, sure, of course." This is one of the many things that separates me from the great thinkers. I have a tendency to get stuck in my own opinion and to complicate things best left simple.

That's one of the reasons I created this piece. The Lapis promotes objectivity, while the Amethyst enhances one's common sense. The two together are not only beautiful, they stimulate the seeds of wisdom, and will help anyone to keep things simple and on track.
