The Dance of Gaia

It's always been easy for me to love the Earth. I grew up in a place where life was defined by the bounty of the Earth, where our relationship to Her was everything. My Grandmother, an old Celtic mystic, taught me about the cycles of our little part of the world and introduced me to the small voices of rock and tree and stream. She showed me how, in her spiral dance of life, our Mother Earth Gaia provides all we need. My fascination and willingness to learn more catapulted me into an understanding and awareness of the Earth I find fantastic even to this day.

Because of this awareness, and out of genuine concern, I do what I can to help our Mother Earth. I recycle. I buy my stones from eco-friendly dealers. I tend my small part of the world, doing my best to act as a responsible steward.

But I realize that not everyone can hear the music of leaf and creek,
and that the spiral dance of Gaia may seem slow or strange.

That's why I made this necklace. It is designed to enhance the wearer's awareness of the Earth, and acts to attune its owner to the language of the natural world, it's cycles and it's seasonal ballet. This piece will make it easy to join in the blissful dance of Gaia and to hear the whispers of nature spirits.
