Creativity

Everybody that creates faces the same series of problems every time. This is just as true for me as for anyone else. I first have to get myself in a state that allows my creativity to flow. Sometimes I need to kick-start it by trying a few things until inspiration strikes, but then I surrender to the muse as I work. My goal is always to create beautiful jewelry that has a purpose. To do this well, I have to be able to connect with my inner self, my soul-self. I have to set aside my fears of whether my customers will like what I do and I must always create with a positive feeling of authority and self-confidence.

The above procedure is true no matter if we are creating jewelry, writing a book, making a presentation at work, casting a life-sized bronze, or making dinner for the family. To do any of this well, we need to set aside the negative influences and manifest our creations from deep within.
