Sea of Love

In the Judeo-Christian tradition, God created the universe in six days. My question for years was: "What did He use as raw material to make such a magnificent thing as our universe if He was the only thing there?" I mean, if God was the only being out there in the void, He would still need cosmic building blocks or something.

It was years before I realized what must have happened. God must have used part of Himself to make the manifest universe. That would mean that everything is made of God-stuff. Because we are also told later in this tradition that God is love, we can choose to see the universe and everything in it being made of nothing but love. Interestingly enough, the other spiritual traditions fundamentally agree with this conclusion.

So how come if we are living in a sea of love, we can't see it? Why is life so hard?

Well, nobody ever said that love was easy, but I think the real answer resides in the realm of awareness. If we become aware of the energies within us and align them with the love of the universe, of God, then we will become attuned to it in every moment.
