Cosmic Quickee

In his landmark book Be Here Now, Ram Dass advocates being present in every moment as a means for experiencing higher states of consciousness. I don't know about you, but I don't know any mother of teenage children who can find the time to "hang out" in the moment. It's always a flurry of activity, accentuated by occasional drama and the emotional turmoil inherent to adolescence. These Moms have to grab their enlightenment where they can. This requires a practice short on ceremony and long on taking spontaneous advantage of opportunity. We have to be ready in an instant to embrace the vastness of the transcendent while swimming in the countless minutiae of everyday life. We need to be spiritually agile.

This piece was created to help the wearer take advantage of those fleeting moments in modern life, so that we can dip into the eternal "now" to recharge and refresh, and then pop back into the chaos in the wink of an eye.
